These aren't frameworks that ask you to rewrite your stack; they're systems that sit between your models and your tools, handling the plumbing of agent execution. Substrate and Harness SDK explicitly target production deployment across multiple models and clouds, suggesting developers have moved past proof-of-concept and now need portability and operational control. CLI-Anything's 50k stars indicates particular hunger for agent-native CLIs, likely because CLIs are where most operational work still happens and agents that can't interface with existing command-line tools remain theoretical.

What's striking is how the domain-specific repos, financial services, spreadsheets via Univer, video editing, market data tracking, treat agents as a solved layer they're building on top of, not a problem to solve. These projects assume agent orchestration exists and focus instead on what agents can do when given the right data model or interface. Univer's office suite positioning and the financial services repo's prominence suggest enterprises are actively asking "what does this agent layer unlock for our specific workflow," rather than treating agents as a general-purpose capability. The discovery repos reinforce this: KnowNote and Dograh are vertical applications (knowledge management and voice AI respectively) that happen to use agents internally, not agent frameworks. This pattern, infrastructure commoditizing, domain applications rising, typically signals a technology moving from research into operations.
